A library book in every child's hands at Raroa School

Our little school on the edge of Wellington has 340 tamariki and a library that hasn't had new books in over a decade. Half the shelves sit empty. So we're doing something different. Instead of chasing a few big donors, we're asking a whole community to chip in just $1 each. One dollar. That's the whole idea — everyone can afford a dollar, and when thousands of people give one, it changes everything. Every dollar raised goes toward new books, a cosy reading corner, and a mobile shelf so classes in the far block get their turn too. When a kid falls in love with reading, it follows them for life. Help us put a book in every hand.
