Acceptable Use Policy
What you may and may not do on Ralli, and the activities that are prohibited. Version 1.0 · Governed by New Zealand law.
1. Who this applies to
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who uses Ralli — donors, Creators and visitors. It forms part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service and (for Creators) the Creator / Campaign Agreement. We may enforce it at our discretion to keep the platform and its users safe.
2. Prohibited campaigns & activities
You must not use Ralli to create, promote, fund or facilitate:
- Fraud or deception — misrepresenting who you are, what you’re raising for, or how funds will be used; fake, misleading or impersonation campaigns.
- Illegal goods or services — anything unlawful, including illegal drugs, controlled substances, weapons, firearms, explosives, or regulated items you are not licensed to deal in.
- Money laundering, terrorism financing or sanctions evasion — moving, layering or disguising the proceeds of crime, or dealing with sanctioned people, entities or countries.
- Hate, violence or exploitation — content or causes that promote hatred, violence, terrorism, harassment, or the exploitation or endangerment of any person, especially children.
- Infringement — violating anyone’s intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other legal rights.
- Adult, gambling or high-risk financial activity — pornographic or sexual services, gambling or lotteries, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, investment or securities offerings, or other regulated financial products offered without authorisation.
- Circumvention — attempts to bypass Ralli’s fees, fraud controls, identity verification (KYC), the US charity gate, or any technical or security measure.
- Harm to the platform — malware, scraping, denial of service, unauthorised access, testing others’ cards, or interfering with how Ralli works for other people.
3. Honesty & use of funds
Campaigns must be truthful and funds must be used for the stated purpose. Materially changing a campaign’s purpose without telling donors, or using funds for something other than what you described, is a breach of this Policy and the Creator / Campaign Agreement.
4. Payments & anti-money-laundering
Because a licensed payment partner holds and moves all funds, its acceptable-use and anti-money-laundering rules also apply to your activity. Identity verification is required before withdrawal, refunds are returned only to the original payment method, and we may pause or reverse transactions we reasonably suspect are fraudulent or unlawful.
5. Reporting & enforcement
You can report a campaign you believe breaches this Policy using the report button on the campaign page, or by emailing complaints@ralli.fund. Where we find a breach, we may remove content, suspend or close accounts, withhold or reverse payouts, refund donors, and report unlawful activity to the police, regulators or our payment partner. Significant decisions affecting a Creator involve human review, and you can ask us about a decision through our Complaints Process.
6. Changes & governing law
We may update this Policy as the platform and the law evolve; the current version always appears on this page. This Policy is governed by New Zealand law and does not affect any mandatory rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986.
